DAILY DOWNPOUR

If you have never lived in a tropical place, then you have never experienced a real "rain." You may have thought you have experienced rain, but if you were not soaked within seconds of walking out in it, then this is not rain. Rain soaks you. Drenches you to the point that it takes hours to dry. Well, South Florida's summers are graced with the presence of such rain DAILY! It doesn't matter if it is the most sun shining day... by 2-3pm there is torrential downpour. I should have uploaded a video...

Grew up in Houston! Know all about this! Also, if you've never lived anywhere tropical you'll never know what it's like to take a shower, dry off, and still be soaking wet. Glad you guys had a great trip to Peru! Awesome.

i have experienced the rain you speak of.
this past feb. it rained like this for about 2 weeks solid...and when I mean solid i mean NEVER stopping--when it finally did stop, our ears were ringing from the slience we hadn't heard in weeks.
one of the days we got 14 inches of rain in one day. (that is more than slc will get in a year)

I'm sure that you mom was visiting my ward. we are the only ward in hilo that the university students go to too. bummer, i wasn't there.....(because of the baby)
